For MAC Users that have upgraded to the Mojave OS and then find that theIr Samsung Color Laser Multifunction C480FW no longer scanned in color; here is the fix;

First, SELECT Operating System: MacOS 10.13 - (IMPORTANT: DO NOT SELECT the 10.14 VERSION);

next

Under BASIC DRIVERS - Download and Install the 10.13 version of the Scan Driver;

next

Under SOFTWARE -Download and Install the 10.13 version Software entitled: "Easy Print Manager" and "Easy Document Creator".

Once those are installed, have the Document Creator search your system and auto select your Samsung C480 and ADD it. From there, use the basic setting configure your unit.

This should solve the problem. It did for me.

I hope this helps.

Hi there,

I was having the same problem with a C480W - printing in color stopped working from 4 Macs (one 5 year old MBP with Mojave, one 7 year old MBP with El Capitan, one iMac with High Sierra, one brand new MBP with Mojave), 2 iPhones and an iPad. It had worked rather fine for 5 months (8/2018 - 12/2018). All I had was some annoying WiFi issues, needed to disconnect and reconnect several times over the course of these 5 months.

In 1/2019 I finally upgraded the Printer‘s Firmware to the latest available version as of Jan 2019 since it mentioned fixing WiFi issues. As of this update the printer apparently stopped supporting AirPrint. It did no longer print from any of the mentioned Macs, did not print from any of the mentioned iOS devices. I uninstalled und updated the printer drivers, reset the print system, deleted all printer drivers, tried pretty much every suggested fix I could find, nothing worked. I then chose the option to install using PCL instead of AirPrint on all Macs. The printer worked again, but only in black/white or grayscale.

As a last resort I bought another printer (same model but factory firmware from 2017). It was automatically detected from all Macs and iOS devices, works fine in color as well as b/w and grayscale. Options and printing profiles are working just as expected. To avoid the WiFi issues, I connected the printer via ethernet cable to my router.
