Really odd, not printing yellow at all, ie it comes out White, ie no toner at all. Toner capacities of all cartidges seem to be falling at the same rate, but thats probably just a software fudge. (All colour ones changed at the same time. Now I can't remember if its been like it since I changed the cartridges, silly me....)

I've reseated everything. It could just be the Yellow Cartridge. Someone else had the same problem, but he could check his cartridge in a different machine. Solution seemed to be to check nothing was blocking the laser unit, which sits above the toner cartidges. I've had the ITB out, all springs seem fine albeit the yellow and the black tensions seem higher than the cyan and magenta ones. There doesn't seem to be anything around the laser unit, unless its inside. All of the other colours are fine.

Has any one else experienced such a problem, and any pointers to a solution would be apreciated. (I've ordered a replacement cartridge, but its a pretty new one already, and this problem looks like being pretty fundamental.

Thanks in advance

Chris

From my experience, if the laser is above the toner a blank page is rarely caused by an issue with the laser, unless one shutter is not opening, but that is extremely rare. Most common issue is a problem with the contacts in the body of the printer. Each drum unit has a set of identical contacts (usually thin stainless wire (sort of like paper clips) that contact metal points on supplies like the drum and toner. do you see any presence of yellow toner on the cartridges at all?  If not I would suspect that you may have a bad cartridge that is simply not letting toner flow into the works.

many Thanks. Hard to tell, small bits of yellow, but similar to the magenta and cyan. I'll clean the contacts again. Also have ordered another cartridge. I'll let you know how  I get on.

As I suspected, changed the yellow cartridge, exactly the same problem. Cleaned contacts, the "paper clip" connectors seem to have tension ie behave identical to the other cartridges.

At a loss now 😞
