Samsung ML3050 Manual feed not picking up

Hi,

I have a Samsung ML3050 printer that works fine,  except it only picks paper up from the front using 'manual paper feed' when it want's, it usually takes a few attempts  usually takes about six attemtps, the auto feed from the tray is no problem.

I take this to be the front rollor that needs replacing,  is there a place where I can order the original spares? I am a TV and electronics engineer, taking a peek  and having the tools I could do the job, I did have the wheel out and cleaned it with isopropanol it did improve the problem for a short while..

Hi, thanks for the reply Repairatrooper. The link you provided kinda confused me, it's a Samsung and doesn't seem to match the ML3050.

Can I clarifiy, the tray  pick up works no problem at all..... it is when I use manual feed, I insert the paper in the front, I get the flashing red light to tell me it's ready to print and awaiting me to press the green button... it tries to feed the sheet in, I got to do this several times before it actually picks the paper from the manual paper tray feed.

When you open the front as to change the toner cartridge you can see the rubber pick up wheel, I had this out to clean and it cured the problem for a short while, sometimes it'll pick up and feed at the first attempt, otherwise I have to keep trying until it does, the auto tray feed is not affected.  Dave

HP purchased Samsung's printer business several years ago so all the support and parts were rolled into HP. I see that this model is not listed on Partsurfer at this time, at least it did not come up for me. You might want to try a company called Precision Roller.
