Samsung M2885FW
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Samsung Xpress M2885FW by default selects the manual tray when I print a photo or print a webpage or similar odd-size format. Even after storing as pdf and trying again the print is directed to the manual tray. If I add paper to the manual tray it prints ok, but always as miniatures and not fit to page. I can't find any way of overriding this default setting of tray selection. I have understood that the reason for this auto selection is the format of the original file; but there is no easy way to change this. I wish to print everything by default from the standard multipage tray instead of the manual feed tray where I often need to feed page by page in order to avoid paper jam. I also want the files to automatically fit to my standard paper-size (A4).

Hello Pat562

You can try updating the driver to the most recent version for Windows 10 (64 bit):

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/SL-M2880FW/M288x_Series_WIN_SPL_PCL_V3.13.12.0...

In case that it does not work you can clear the memory of your printer with following steps

1. Get into the "Tech Mode"

Press “Menu > # > 1 > 9 > 3 > 4 > Menu” on the control panel.

2. Clear all memory

In the Tech Mode select Data Setup > Clear All Mem. > Select your Country

I attach a video to have a guidance to clear the memory.
