Product: Samsung M2070W
Operating System: Linux

I would like to scan using printer buttons on Samsung SL-M2070W connected via USB to Kubuntu 18.04 notebook.

What I did:

* I have installed samsung-ULD_v1.00.39_01.17.tar.gz

* According to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1728012/comments/80 :
** executed $ sudo ln -sfr /usr/lib/sane/libsane-smfp* /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane
** to /etc/udev/rules.d/59-smfp_samsung.rules added: ATTRS{idProduct}=="2070", ENV{libsane_matched}="yes"
* added SANE_USB_WORKAROUND=1 to /etc/environment (as suggested at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1741977 )

 

No I can:
* print on printer connected via USB.
* scan using console with command: scanimage >output.tiff
* If I connect to the printer with Wi-Fi, I may access "SyncThru Web Service" via browser at http://192.168.3.1/sws/index.html

But:
* I can't scan using buttons on printer.

* $ scanimage -L often returns "Unauthorized access to memory" / "Neoprávněný přístup do paměti (SIGSEGV) (core dumped [obraz paměti uložen]"

Please, can you help me with scanning using the printer buttons?
