Error indicates failed harddrive. You need to replace the drive and perform a recovery.

  1. Any suggestions for a replacement?
  2. And do you have an idea, why the USB stick is not recognized?
  3. May I have a wrong hds file?

Drive replacement can be any physical spinning disk, I have used ones at 500Gb, standard is likely 320.

Failed drive might prevent some functions from working. I am no expert on Samsung, but inherited supporting them when HP bought Samsung years ago.

Wrong file is a possibility.

Hi Repairtrooper,

exchanged the harddrive and now it is formatting the new HD.
I hope the rest will also be succesfull.

The old HD was not working anymore as I tried it in an USB to SATA Adapter.

I will report, if anything goes wrong or right.
