The touch screen on my Samsung SL-C1860FW printer is white with the Samsung logo, and I can't get the main menu back no matter what I do.

Hi @Websun-0,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the touch screen on your Samsung SL-C1860FW printer is unresponsive and stuck on the Samsung logo, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This simple power cycle can sometimes resolve software glitches.
  • Reset to Factory Defaults: Some printers have a factory reset option in the settings menu. If you can access the settings, navigate to the system or maintenance menu and look for a reset or restore option. Keep in mind that performing a factory reset will erase any customized settings.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer model. Visit the official Samsung website, find your printer model, and look for firmware updates in the support or downloads section. Follow the instructions provided to update the firmware.

Remember that attempting to open the printer or perform advanced troubleshooting without proper guidance may void the warranty or cause further damage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks!  I have tried to reset the printer following your unstructions 1 and 2..  It led me to trying to reconnect the printer.

That's when I received an error message saying:  WLAN support error. Can't find WLAN data.
When trying to update firmware it quit.

It seems that something is preventing the printer to connect.

I can print from the USB connection.  I even managed to print a test page after connecting through the network.

BUT the LED screen is still the same Samsung Logo.

Also, when setting up the USB connection and later the Wireless connection  it keps saying that the prointer driver was not installed.  I kkept reinstalling that so it moved on to print the  test page, but never recovered the LED screen.

So, now I can print from my PC, but not any other function, like scan or copy.  Also it prints in colour but won't do B&W.
I will have to try to get the firmware again.

I can't find the link on the Samsung website for the firmware, it keeps referring me to HP.
