Samsung SCX-5935NX Laser Multifunction Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have downloaded and tried to install the firmware upgrade here:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-scx-5835-laser-multifunction-printer-series...

using USB Method drag firmware to usblist2.exe

Unfortunately on 2 Windows 10 64 bit computers I get different results.

First attempt on computer 1 , file said it was uploading and then said "firmware Upgrade disabled" (or something like that.

Second Attempt I found on the panel where to enable firmware upgrades and tried again, firmware seemed to upload then nothing happened. Checkoing the panel, firmware upgrade was disabled again.

Third attempt (exactly like second attempt)

Now on second Windows 10 64 computer

Fourth attempt enabled firmware upgrades. Dragging firmware file to usblist2.exe, Printer start printing TONS of wasted pages and upload is very slow. I removed the paper tray . but after many minutes the upload is at less than 10% and seems to have stalled (long after removing paper tray)

The older version of the firmware says you  can upgrade it from Web GUI but I con not find upgrade option anywhere in web GUI anywhere.

What to do?

It's under Maintenance >> Application >> Add.  Select the HDS file from your local machine and let it run.  It takes around 30 minutes, so let your users know it'll be a few.
