can't re-install printer

When I tried to print today, nothing happened. I downloaded some diagnostic software from this site which said my printer wasn't installed, and telling me to install the 'full solution' from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-scx-3400-laser-multifunction-printer-series....

But it isn't clear exactly what I should install. I tried the 'critical software update', didn't work. Then I tried the Easy Printer Manager. Didn't help. What should I do?
