3830 is not receiving faxes

We bought an OJ 3830 for use in home office. It sends faxes but does not receive. I used the HP return

fax operation and did receive a reply. However all other attempts to fax this number are failing. 

I've gone through the troubleshooters and we are using a 2 line phone wire and all the other set up

features are correct. What do I try next? I can't be stuck with a machine that will not receive faxes.

I understand that you are unable t receive the fax.

Check if he is getting fax from different printers properly.

Did you do any hardware or software changes?

Meanwhile:

Run a fax test.

1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch Fax.

2. Swipe up on the display, touch Setup, and then touch Tools.

3. Touch Test Fax.

   The printer prints a report.

4. Review the Fax Test Report.

   • If the report indicates the printer passed the test but your printer has problems faxing, check the fax settings listed in the report to make sure that the settings are correct. A blank or incorrect fax setting can cause fax problems.

   • If the report indicates the printer failed the test, review the report for more information about fixing the problem.
