My  HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer will not print or copy.  It makes all the right noises and sounds like it is getting ready to print, but then it stops.  I have unplugged it several times, and that did not work.  There was a similar issue posted on this board a year or two ago.  A  hardware reset was suggested, but that requires instructions specific to my product.  So, will someone please let me know how to do a hardware reset on my printer?

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

To isolate the issue, perform the steps from this document for copy-related issues.

 

If that goes successfully and the copy works fine, and still having printing issues, let's perform  Semi full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
