How can I access /retrieve  the installation software for my HP Officejet 5740 printer /scanner? 

My printing option works but I need to reload the installation software for the scanning function

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your printing function is working but the scanning function is not, likely, the full feature software and drivers for your HP OfficeJet 5740 printer need to be reinstalled. This software includes the HP Scan utility and other important tools.

Step 1: Download the Full Software

  1. Visit the official HP driver page:
    👉 HP OfficeJet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
  2. Enter your printer model: HP OfficeJet 5740
  3. Select your operating system (e.g., Windows 11 or MacOS).
  4. Under the "Driver-Product Installation Software" section, download the Full Feature Software and Driver package.

 

Step 2: Install the Software

  1. Once downloaded, open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. During setup, choose the "Full Software Installation" to enable all printer functions, including scanning.
