Best scan quality on 300dpi

my printer states it can support up to 1200 dpi but the app doesn't allow me to go above 300dpi. i have tried to download drivers to my computer, but everything says i must use the hp scan app and i cant get a better quality.

it also auto-defaults to webscan disabled and i cant turn it on. i've tried downloading full software drivers for my computer, but there is no full driver option. i'm on an 8025e

Higher DPI is supported on the printer flatbed / glass.

HP Scan is part of the full driver printer software -- 

The full driver is available for supported versions of Windows.

Web Scan / Webscan 

NOTE: Webscan / Web Scan is not available on Laser printers

First Time Use Only – Standard EWS - Enable Webscan

• Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
• Tab Settings > Security > Administrator Settings > Enable >> Check box next to Webscan
• Click Apply to save any changes

Next,

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Scan > Webscan

Open Web Pack Installation - Web Page

Download, Save, and Install.

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in

Once installed, the full driver printer software will have added one of two "container" shortcuts on the Desktop:

• Printer Assistant - named for the printer model

OR

• Scan Assistant - named for itself
