macOS 10.15 Catalina

I always scan black and white with my Officejet. One day suddenly, the black and white option disappeared from the panel in Easy Scan, lefting grayscale and color only. I tried deleting and reinstalling the printer in System Preferences and the app from Mac App Store. Apple Image Capture works perfectly fine, but I need to use Easy Scan as it helps me to use my one-sided Automatic Document Feeder to scan 2-sided documents. I even upgraded to the latest macOS 11.1, but the problem still persisted.

What happens when you use the grayscale option?

 

To be honest, the grayscale option is the same as the black and white option for scanning. The updated HP Easy Scan App may have different names and that is not to worry about 🙂
