Hi @Jeff19682,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2800e All-in-One series printer is printing black lines in the center of every page. Let’s go through a few checks.

Check scanner glass and document feeder

Lift the scanner lid and clean the main scanner glass using a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner.

Clean the narrow scanner strip next to the main glass.

Remove any dust, correction fluid, or adhesive residue.

Dry the glass completely before closing the lid.

Make a copy to check if the lines are gone.

Inspect ink cartridges

Turn the printer on and open the cartridge access door.

Remove both cartridges and check for ink buildup or debris on the nozzles.

Clean cartridge contacts gently with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.

Reinstall the cartridges securely.

Print a test page.

Run printer cleaning utility

Load plain paper into the input tray.

Open the printer control panel menu.

Navigate to Setup > Tools > Clean Cartridges.

Allow the cleaning cycle to complete.

Print a Print Quality Report.

Check paper path and rollers

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.

Open the input and output areas and inspect for debris.

Clean visible rollers using a slightly damp lint-free cloth.

Allow rollers to dry completely.

Reconnect power and print a copy.
