Brand New 8035e won't scan

macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have just set this printer up, including the HP software on HPSmart on my MacBook Air. When I try to scan, I keep getting an error message telling me I have to set up software on my computer. That's done, and it won't scan. Also, don't see an option to scan to email like I had on the Envy 7460.  Help, please! Thanks.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you follow the steps in the below article to scan from your computer.
