The printer is not aware of what it is printing.

Caveat:

How -- and whether -- the size of the print content can be manipulated depends on the Application / Software used to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.

 

What?

Printer software and applications installed and used on a computer are more robust and support more features than do the typical applications used on a phone.

 

General Example - Windows -  Adobe Reader DC  - Print Menu

Note settings for Size > Page Size options > Custom Size = percentage of 100%
