HP color Laser jet CM1312nfi
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dec 6, 2020    I have an HP CM1312nfi color laser printer,  installed on desktop WIN 10 PRO system.  Printer sending FAXES, with no problems, up to a couple of days ago.    Now, when sending a FAX, I get the error message that the  Fax memory is full, sending will terminate.    A search of the HP CM1312nfi trouble shooting site says to see "Delete FAXES from memory".

Only one problem; there  is no link to any instructions on HOW to  "Delete FAXES" from memory"  Found a couple of old (2015) notes titled "removing faxes from memory" ; but they are archived status and no longer available.

Does anyone have information on how to " Remove FAXES from memory" for the HP CM1312nfi color lasr printer?

THANKS,  krazykat

There should be an option to delete stored faxes through the control panel of the printer.

Go to setup>service>fax service>clear saved faxes.

Repairtrooper,

THANKS !!!  Your solution was excellent and cleared the FAX memory full error.  For what it is worth, I did look through the CM1312nfi user manual and did not find your solution.  Could be that I missed it; that is why your reply is very much appreciated,

If you have the time; an additional question.  Since the CM1312nfi stores the sent FAXES in memory; is there software to access the memory and view or download the faxes stored in the memory?  Several times I have needed a copy of the actual sent fax for verification, but had not saved a hard copy or electronic copy.

Thanks again for your reply,

According to the user manual https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-color-laserjet-cm1312-multifunction-printer-series/3558902/m...

It will store up to 400 faxes but the documentation suggests that you can only print the last received fax. Unless it prints all stored faxes starting with the most recent and working backwards until you either stop or it runs out of faxes.
