I understand that you are facing issues with the scanning in color. 

 

Are you able to print normally and copy?

 

If your HP Envy 6455 printer is only printing and scanning in black and white or monochrome, there are a few things you can check to resolve the issue:

 

Check ink levels: Ensure that the color ink cartridges have enough ink. If any of the color cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new cartridges.

 

Printer settings: Check the printer settings on your computer to make sure that color printing and scanning are enabled. Sometimes, the settings may default to black and white.

 

Driver update and firmware: Update the printer driver to the latest version. You can download the latest driver from the HP website or use the HP Smart app to check for updates. Click here

 

Print settings: When printing, make sure that the print settings in the application you are printing from are set to color.

 

Scanner settings: If you are scanning, check the scanner settings to ensure that color scanning is selected.

 

Restart printer and computer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer and your computer can resolve software issues that may be causing the problem.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the printer. In that case, you may need to contact HP phone support for further assistance.
