hello,

I am using an HP OfficeJet 7612 printer. I am having problems with the adapter and would like to use a spare adapter. Please see below if it is compatible .

The spare adapter I have is labeled as c8187-60034, +32v / 2500ma for HP OfficeJet 6600. Can I use it for my HP OfficeJet 7612 printer?

I would appreciate a response please. Thank you.

Hello,

To determine if the spare adapter is compatible with your HP OfficeJet 7612 printer, we need to verify the following details:

Voltage and Current Output: Check the output specifications (voltage and amperage) on both the printer's original adapter and the spare adapter. The spare adapter must match the original specifications exactly to avoid damaging the printer.

The HP OfficeJet 7612 typically requires a 32V 940mA or 12V 250mA adapter. Double-check your printer’s original adapter for exact specifications.
Connector Type: Ensure the connector plug of the spare adapter fits securely into the printer's power port. HP printers often use proprietary connectors, so the shape and pin configuration must match.

Polarity: Confirm that the polarity (positive and negative orientation) of the spare adapter matches the original. Polarity is usually indicated by a diagram on the adapter's label.

Power Rating: The wattage (calculated as voltage × amperage) of the spare adapter should be equal to or greater than the printer's requirement.

If you have the details of the spare adapter (voltage, current, wattage, connector type, and polarity), you can share them, and I’ll help confirm compatibility
Best Regards

Rose258 Thank you so much for your kind response.

I am attaching a picture of the specs of the spare adapter, please check.

The spare adapter is not labeled +12V, is it compatible?

I'm wondering if it can be used as long as the current and power are higher than the 7612 power specs, the polarity is the same, and the voltage is either +32V or +12V?

Again, thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
