Can't Scan, was able to print from laptop can't do either now. uninstalled, reinstalled, updated.

Can't scan or print. Problem started with new laptop & win 11.  HP 6700 message said scan to computer off, also would get message at printer that computer not found. Have updated software, restarted printer, uninstalled/reinstalled. wireless settings all check out. don't know what else to do. Dinosaur.

Printer Software - Full Feature Software

When you say "uninstalled / reinstalled" are you describing having installed the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software?

For your Printer

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in

NOTES

Ask if you need full instructions to (re)install the full driver printer software.

Of the printer software does not fully install ("Driver Unavailable"), there are some places to check and remove any left over pieces of the printer software.  Ask if you need this information.

Installing the printer software adds at least two shortcuts to your Desktop:

• Printer Assistant
• HP Scan

True - "Computer not found" when trying to scan from the printer control panel is generally a result of the Full Driver printer software not installed -- or perhaps the software is installed but the setting that supports "Scan to Computer" is not enabled.

Check that you have Network / Printer Discovery switched on and Profile set
