My Envy 5549 won't scan at 1200 ppi. When I select 1200 ppi as the resolution, I can hear the scanner operating for a minute or two and the display says "scanning...". Then it displays "canceling..." and doesn't ever complete the scan/save the file. I get no error message on either the scanner or my computer.

 

Other questions like this have ended with a private message sent to the customer so it is impossible to se

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Scanning at 1200dpi requires considerable resources on the PC side.  

 

Do you see similar issues at 600dpi?

 

Try on another more powerful Computer if possible.
