If you are experiencing issues with scanning on your HP OfficeJet 9010 series printer, despite having downloaded and installed the necessary drivers and HP software, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step-by-Step Guide:

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your HP OfficeJet 9010 printer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check Connections:

  • Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Check both wired (USB) and wireless connections.
  • If using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely connected.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or by visiting HP Support.

Check HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer to see if there are any alerts or additional setup steps required.
  • Ensure the app has the latest updates.

Rescan Device in HP Smart App:

  • In the HP Smart app, click on your printer and look for the scan option.
  • Follow any prompts to enable scanning.

Verify WIA Service:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down to 'Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)'.
  • Ensure the service is started and set to "Automatic".

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
