Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I was able to to set up the emails on the printer by placing the information on the IP address that the printer provided but I am not able to get the printer to  scan to my email. 

 

It keeps telling me that the port cannot be found and the SMPT isn't found either.

 

I do not know what any of these means or where to get this information.

I understand that you are facing issues with scanning to email. 

 

Superb analysis and brilliant diagnosis of the issue before posting. :slightly_smiling_face: Kudos to you on that score. :slightly_smiling_face:

 

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:

  • Do you get any errors when you scan to email?

For now please try these steps:

Please reset

  • Please re-set up the scan to email feature by following the steps from this user guide link, please check pages  5,51,53-57 on how to do it.

This should fix the issue as you are reconfiguring scan to email and setting it up again.

 

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient. Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. :slightly_smiling_face:
