Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e All in One; connected via USB, turned off VPN, getting error (Error Code: OW_500_OWSID00001) when I try to sign into HP Smart App; printer works fine, but can't access scan or fax functions via HP Smart app

Hi @XenaRatDog,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are getting an error message OW_500_OWSID00001on your HP SMART App. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

Please follow the steps mentioned in this document: HP printers - 'We're sorry, something went wrong error

 

Uninstall HP Smart and update the OS once - Then restart the PC and then try to install HP Smart again and check if you are able to access the HP Smart App
