Scanning to a folder on my laptop from the scanner was working fine until I had to rebuild from a TimeMachine backup.  All my settings appeared to be preserved, but I could not scan to the folder.  I have tried deleting the folder and setting up a new one, carefully following all of the instructions in this excellent step by step article on by Stretchmusic on this website:  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/Scan-to-Network-Folder-Setup-for-Officejet-Pro...

Unfortunately, it simply has not been working.  I keep getting a "User name or password is incorrect" message on the HP, or, if I try to test the connection via the web browser, I get a Network Error message.  I am 100% sure that user name and password are correct.

Any help much appreciated!
