HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer

Recently I tried to use the scan option and realized it sends the scans to my old work address.  I have tried many things to delete the address/change the address but it will not let me do it.  I lost my pin so I asked for a new one and they sent it to my old work address which I do not have access to.

Where do I go to change the work email address in my HP Printer without the pin.

Welcome to the HP Community --

If not done,

Try / Consider

Change the "owner" in your HP Smart / HP Connected account.

Try here:

HP Smart / HP Connected –

HP Printers - Update Your HP Smart Account Information

That might do it.

At the least, you will want to shut down and then Restart your printer after you update the information.

If you can stand it, consider Restarting the computer, too.

What else?

Good to know...

You might need to switch OFF Web Services to reset it after changing the account owner email information.

After the service shows Off, wait a minute (as long as you can stand it) > Switch Web Services ON (for ePrint)

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Web Services > Summary

Reference -

User Guide

Web Services - Starting on Page 61

Examples - EWS

Lots of things can be done in EWS.

Note >> EWS Options differ by printer model

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration

As Available:

Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced

Network Interface on / off, Network SSID name, Security Settings, Passphrase / Password

Select and connect to the correct SSID / network name for the bandwidth you are using.

Note:   It is not mandatory that you use a manual / static IP address.  Doing so can improve stability.

=======================================

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > Basic Fax Settings

=======================================

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > Fax Setup Wizard

Larger Hammers...

What if?

Open

Set the printer back to it's factory defaults

Try Web Services

If that is not enough,

Try a bigger hammer:  Printer Setup

Factory defaults is a "big deal" the Printer Setup might wipe out everything, including the preferred network setup you have been using.  The printer can certainly be reconnected to your network, just be aware it might be necessary.

A factory reset > Printer Setup will also wipe out any settings you had in Fax.  Again, the data can be re-added.
