Scanner related problem has been detected. Restart the printer and try again. If the problem persists, visit the Hp support website

I tried several times, but the "good" doctor didn't detect anything wrong. I had to uninstall the drivers and software, then reinstall everything and it works again.
My sister who also has an HP printer has the exact same problem.
In both cases, the problem comes just after upgrading the HP Smart software. So that's what caused this incident.
But how to get by without uninstalling everything?
This is not serious on HP's part.

Glad to hear that uninstalling and reinstalling HP Smart has resolved the issue.

 

You can try the HP FULL software as well, which has more features than HP Smart.
