Change fax time on LazerJet MFP M130fn

I recentrly bought a LazerJet MFP M130fn and I need the fax functionality. The machine works just fine, prints ok, scans ok, sends and recieves fax ok. I have only one phone line and this line is used for fax and voice. I noticed that when the device is on and someone calls, then the phone rings just one time and then the fax intervenes. If it is a normal phone call then the call is terminated after 11 seconds, probably by the machine, not pretty sure who hangs off. So, is there a way to delay fax interference to 20 or 30 seconds from 2-3 that it is now?

Hello, this is how you should be able to configure the rings to answer setting on the printer.

a. Turn the printer on.
b. From the control panel, open the Setup menu.
c. Select the Fax Setup menu.
d. Select the Basic Setup menu.
e. Select the Rings to Answer option.
f. Use the numeric keypad on the printer control panel to set the number of rings to 5 or more, and
then select OK.

You can also change the fax behaviour to manual answer, which means you will need to press go when you pickup and hear a fax but if your number of faxes is low that is likely the best option.
