Hello,

I have the same problem and I cannot copy front / back pages in this post said It is not possible Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw making copies on two sides of a page

but on the user manual page 51 http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06431905.pdf the manual said :

 

Copy on both sides automatically

1.Load the original documents into the document feeder with the first page facing up, and with the top of the page leading.

2.Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.

3.From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Copy button .

4.Touch the Settings button.

5.Scroll to and touch the Two-Sided button.

6.Swipe through the options, and then touch an option to select it.

7.Touch the Black or Color button to start copying

So why is this not working?

I understand that you are unable to copy on both sides, I am glad to assist you.

Yes, this printer model is capable of copying on both sides

Are you getting any error messages while copying?

 

Meanwhile:- 

Perform a power reset, reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
