Hell, I'd be grateful if anyone knows whether you can adjust how the scanner with an all-in-one HP Envy 5032 reproduces colour, or if it's possible for it to have an error with this? Mine does not pick up blue tones well at all, and it's not really useable for scanning anything where the colour matters.
Thank you.

Hi @ChantalM22,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing a scan-related issue with your HP ENVY 5032 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Does the copy work fine?
- Are you able to print fine with blue tones?
- What application are you using for scanning?
- What is the operating system running on your PC and its current version?
- Have you tried using HP Smart for scanning?
While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update the printer firmware

Hi Andy,
thanks for your help, I will try those steps you mentioned for the power drain and updating the firmware, and in response to your questions:
I have not tried the copy and currently too low on ink, but I haven't had trouble printing blue tones.
I'm using HP Smart app for scanning
I have a Mac, OS Monterey 12.5.1.
thanks,
Chantal
