The smart contextual buttons light up and are able to be used when the lid is opened and closed, but how can you copy a page out of a book that won’t allow the lid to be closed?  Can’t seem to get the buttons lit up.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

What is the printer model?

 

WHen the Contextual buttons are lit up (when the lid is opened), simply place the book onto the flatbed scanner and then press the color Copy button (with the lid open).

 

It should be able to copy.  (we just tried that on a HP Smart Tank 585 printer)
