Deskjet 3755 copy photos is changing the size and has black smudge mark

I bought a brand new printer - HP deskjet 3755 and am trying to make copies of photos using the copy feature. I am using photo paper 4x6 and tried 5x7 to copy a 4x6 photo. The output is a copy that has large white borders on the top and bottom, a cropped image on the right side and a  black smudge on the left. The same thing happened with both sizes. There is not a place to edit any copy settings on the printer and the online screens say that it will keep the same size. This is not the case and I don't know how to fix. I installed brand new cartridges - not the factory ones as well.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting issues in coping a photo 4x6 photo. I would like to help you resolve this issue. 

• Update the firmware of the printer.
• Click here to download the firmware and install it.

Meanwhile:

• Touch or press the Settings icon or button   ,
• Then navigate to the Quality setting.
• Select enlarge to enlarge the size of the copy.

Click here and refer the document for to perform above steps.
