Document feeder not working

HP Recommended
HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Automatic document feeder not working. It does not pull the paper in.

When I open the feeder up I found a small white piece of plastic that had come off from the inside.

It looks like it is attached between the the 2 rollers on the door that lifts up and to the left. I can't find a picture of what the rollers look like to be able to put this piece back on.

Does anyone have a picture of it or can direct me to one.

Thank you,

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Would be good to see the piece that dropped out.

Seems from the description that the missing piece might be causing the scanner feed issue.

If the prodcut is still under warranty (assuming you had activated HP+), call HP for a replacement.  it should still be under the 2 years warranty with HP+.

Here's how to check on the warranty:

Hope that helps!

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
