Have had an ENVY 4500 series installed for some time. For some reason I am unable to scan.  I get an error message " HP Envy 4500 Series not Found" when I try to scan from the computer,  and a message to "make sure the printer and software is installed on your computer and that scan to computer is enabled " on the printer.  I am able to copy and to print documents

from the computer.  Using Windows 10 Pro.

Are you able to copy?
 

Please perform the steps from this document and check if the copy works

 

Also, install HP print and scan doctor Fix printing and scanning problems with HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool for Windows.
