I have an Envy 5014, i bought it years ago but never had a need for it until now so I just set it up, it’s connected to the internet, I’ve gone through the app and everything I can see to update it but when I try to scan it comes up with a code saying to download hp software(full software and drivers) but I can’t seem to find that anywhere in the app or on the website

Install the HP Smart App:

  • If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, or Google Play Store.
  • Use the app to connect your printer and enable scanning features.

 

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. 
  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from the link below to quickly and automatically perform several troubleshooting tasks known to resolve this issue.
