I have a Laser Jet Pro MFP M283fdw. I am trying to set up a home off, using a 4 line phone splitter. I am using 2 lines for two phones and the other two plugs for the printer fax setup. After plugging in the two phones, everything is ok. I plug in the 1 one of the fax lines, still ok. But when i plug in the fourth line, the phone says in use, no line. Does somebody know what I'm doing wrong?

Need a little more information for clarity. do you have 4 separate lines or are you trying to connect 4 devices to a single line. As the fax only has one output, you only require one line, unless you are going to plug in an extension phone. If you are plugging in two lines from the splitter you are probably creating some sort of short that is causing line issues.
