HP OfficeJet Pro 8600
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I can't connect to the new WiFi router recently installed. It is on my MacBook Pro M1 with MacOS Big Sur v 11.2.2 but all of the instructions to user setup wizard or reset won't work because I continually set message: Feature Locked - The feature has been locked by your system administrator or the person who set up the printer. I set it up and am the administrator - I don't know how this happened and how to undo it. I followed all the instructions to turn off, disconnect all devices, and the router and reconnect and it did not help. I also tried to reinstall the printer driver and firmware but it also did not work because it cannot find the wireless network and I cannot get it to recognize the network because all the features are locked. How do I undo this?

Your help will be much appreciated.

@CNPMacUser, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Thank you! Thank you! It worked. I spend hours trying to figure it out before I posted to no avail. I really appreciate your help.

I didn't see the BL button after pushing it twice it disappeared but I kept pushing it as you advised and it worked.

Thanks again for your help.

I have an HP office jet pro 8620. I was having no trouble with it until I bought a new router. I spoke with Google Nest Wifi support today and we tried connecting it with 2 different wifi networks and my iphone personal hotspot. In the printer control panel set up it shows my networks, I type in the PW and repeatedly get "unable to connect" message. I have turned the printer, router and modem off and on. I have reset the printer. I still cannot get it to connect. PLEASE HELP. Thank you. (I have a MacBook Pro 2019.)
