Hi @Danish42

If you are encountering issues with the flatbed scanner on your HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow N9120 fn2, follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Check Connections:

    • Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to a working electrical outlet and the scanner.
    • Verify that the USB cable is properly connected between the scanner and your computer. Use the cable provided with the scanner to ensure compatibility.
  2. Scanner Settings:

    • Make sure that the flatbed option is selected in your scanning software. Sometimes, the software might default to the Document Feeder if it's available.
  3. Restart Devices:

    • Turn off the scanner and your computer. Disconnect the power cable, wait 30 seconds, reconnect, and then power them back on.
  4. Scanner Software Update:

    • Visit the HP Support website to check for any available updates for your scanner software and drivers. Ensure all are up-to-date.
  5. Clean the Scanner Glass:

    • Open the flatbed scanner lid and clean the glass surface with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a non-abrasive glass cleaner. This can help if the scanned images have streaks or unclear areas.
  6. Perform a Test Scan:

    • Place a high-quality original document on the flatbed and attempt a test scan to see if the problem persists.
  7. Error Messages:

    • Check the scanner display or the software for any error messages that could provide clues as to what might be wrong.
  8. Windows Device Manager:

    • Open Device Manager on your computer, navigate to Imaging Devices, and make sure your scanner is listed without any error symbols. If there are errors, you might need to update the drivers.
  9. Reset the Scanner:

    • If none of the above steps work, reset the scanner by turning it off and unplugging it. Wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
