Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

For a few years, my HP Envy Photo 7858 has had issues with scanner.  It randomly shows it cannot find my printer,  I then disconnect the USB line to my HP tower and then it will scan.  Now, it is in limbo.  I tried reinstalling, but that didn't help.  I am not possessing good PC skills, so, at this point, I am unable to determine how to proceed.

Anyone want to help me?  Thanks
