We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Almost all print jobs and all copies keep triggering for the printer to stop and ask to load tray 1 for legal size. The printer has nothing legal size in all the trays. I have factory reset, wiped hard drive, input newest Firmware. And nothing is resolving it. I edited the size to letter, but it keep prompting for Legal size. It's not an issue of printing from the PC, it's the printer itself. 

 

Tray 1 is set to any/any, and usually all print jobs will select a tray with plain/letter sized paper. But it's prompting always to load tray 1 for legal size. It's an annoyance for end users.

Set tray 1 to anything but any/any as this can trigger issues. Also check that the default paper size is set to letter as I had one that was set to legal and not letter and if a job is sent without a specific size requested it will want to print on the default.

We have tray 1 companywide as any/any with no issues like this printer is experiencing. The default was already 8.5 X 11 for letter for that specific setting shown. I also re-added to see if it help, and it didn't. This printer was working prior, then somehow is keeps being triggered to ask to load tray 1 and asking for legal sized paper. Thank you for advise, I am not sure if something hardware within is making it do this as software I can't find issues.
