HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had and enjoyed my HP7200e All-In-One for a couple of years now, but suddenly stopped working at all with the message "A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved". I have an active HP account and the troubleshooters tell me that I haven't got an issue with my HP computer or my WiFi.

I wasted quite a bit of time trying to find an answer to the problem on HP's website, but the "Robochat" response system didn't provide any answers. Finally I was vectored to a warranty site that said that my printer warranty had expired and that for "only" $20/month, I could purchase an updated warranty for my printer.

Is this really the issue? A form of "planned obsolescence" built into my HP product and for a "mere $240 per year" of extortion, my printer will work again?

If this really is the case, I am done with HP products from here on.

Count on it.
