HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M527f
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good afternoon,

latest, greatest firmware installed.(5.4).  Reoccurring problem.  I enter CURRENT network path into  Fax |  Default Job Options |  LAN Fax Setup and head to Folder Settings.

"Save to standard shared network folder" enabled.  I enter the path \\FrontRv2\hp-527\FAX , verify Domain|User Name|Password correct then click 'verify folder access.'  the UNC folder path then CHANGES to  \\FrontR\docs\FaxIncoming  which is an old path to a now non-existing workstation!  WTH!  Of COURSE authorization fails.

How do I get around this?

Thank you,

Mark

AND ADDITIONAL ISSUE

NOT SOLVED by using a different browser (Edge) vs using Chrome.

😞

I get a fax later in the day and an 'Archive Notice' that the 'ARCHIVE DESTINATION' can't be reached - it's the OLD archive destination, not the NEW one that was successfully saved, using a different browser!

HELP!

Mark

I have found that sometimes the old data does not clear properly and the only fix is to perform a partial clean on the device and start over. These are windows based machines and like any desktop windows device, they can get corrupted.

I appreciate your reply.  I'm assuming you mean a 'factory reset' to defaults, HOWEVER..from the manual (emphasis mine):

NOTE: Resetting factory settings sets most of the printer settings to their factory defaults. However, some
settings are not changed, such as language, date, time, and some network configuration settings.

Thanks,

Mark
