Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I'm not able to scan from the ADF: the scanner feeds in all the pages, but then on the last one, once through the printer, after a notification sound in the printer display appears:
"The document feeder was not able to pick up the original. Make sure the document feeder cover is closed completely, load the original in the document feeder, and try again".
Obviously everything is closed. I've cleaned all the stuff inside (it wasn't dirty), I've checked for any software/driver update and I've tried to follow the guide right here:

It didn't work. Any advice?

I understand that you are unable to scan from ADF, I am glad to assist you.

If you have tried all the steps mentioned in this HP document:- Click here

I would request you to contact our Phone Support Team and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. 

 Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

  • Step 1. Open link:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
  • Step 2. Sign in / sign in as a guest
  • Step 3. Enter the product number or select to auto-detect
  • Step 4. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
  • Step 5. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and the phone number appear.
  • Keep me posted on further assistance. Hope that helps! 

Note: Out-of-warranty product repair will cost.



PS: in my opinion the phone support should be free for the out-of-warranty products as well . After the call, I'll be happy to pay for the spare parts if it's worth.
