Hi @gkOKaz,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not scanning to your computer, the following steps may help resolve the issue:

Check Connections: Ensure that your printer and computer are properly connected, whether through a wired or wireless connection. For wireless connections, ensure that both devices are connected to the same network.

Restart Devices: Restart your printer and computer to refresh their systems and potentially resolve connectivity glitches.

Update Printer Software: Make sure you have the latest printer software installed on your computer. You can find updates and drivers on the HP Support website.

Check Scanner Alignment: Ensure the original document is positioned correctly on the scanner glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF). Consult the user manual to ensure proper placement.

Use HP Scan Software: Open the HP Scan software or HP Easy Scan on your computer to initiate the scan. Make sure you have selected the correct printer if you have multiple HP devices.

Disable Firewall: Temporarily disable any firewall software or adjust its settings. It may be blocking the communication between the printer and the computer.

Check Network Connection: If scanning over a network, ensure that the network is functioning properly and that there are no issues with network traffic or interference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
