HP OfficeJet 9010 AIO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am helping someone with a HP 9010.  I has been set up  a couple of different ways on Win 10 on using Ethernet.  It auto installed on Win 10, but had no FAX so I installed the driver V49.6.4502 from here.  I think the same driver was used on Win 7, also on Ethernet.

The device will successfully FAX directly but using the installed software and running the FAX software from any PC results in the FAX software flashing busy in the FAX send Status window.  It does appear to be communicating with the printer as I found something in one of the device menus (Status?) that leads me to believe they are talking.   I'm not sure it actually totally failed, but it did run for some number of minutes.

FWIW I have used the same FAX SW on my FFP127 so I am familiar with the FAX tool itself.  I can SCAN to the PC and I can access the WebAdmin.  I also tried installing the Universal Fax Driver, but I get the same results.  The built in FAX test was run from the console and was successful.  I found a post on unplugging the printer for 3 minutes and restarting with no joy.  I have no issue resetting the printer to Factory, though not sure how.  NBD to reset the user info, etc.

Unfortunately this is not the issue.

My issue is Outbound Faxes, which appear to get a busy signal when sending.

Please make sure it's setup the right way. You can uninstall and reinstall it and try again.
