Hi @sudha12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're facing multiple issues with your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 E-All-In-One Printer, particularly with scanning and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Let's try to resolve these problems step by step.

Scanner Issues

Check Scanner Settings:

  • Ensure that the scanner settings are correctly configured in your scanning software.
  • Verify that the resolution is set to an appropriate level (e.g., 300 DPI) as very high resolutions might cause issues.

Update Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can download them from the HP Support website.
  • Choose your operating system (Windows 7 32-bit) and download the appropriate drivers.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Troubleshoot.

Check USB Connection:

  • Ensure that the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the laptop.
  • Try using a different USB cable if you haven't already.

Clean Scanner Glass:

  • Make sure the scanner glass is clean and free from dust or smudges. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner.

HP Print and Scan Doctor Error

If you're receiving an error about not being able to delete the output file, try the following steps.

Run as Administrator:

  • Right-click on the HP Print and Scan Doctor executable file and select Run as administrator.

Check File Permissions:

  • Ensure that you have write permissions to the folder where the output file is being saved.
  • Navigate to the folder, right-click on it, and select Properties.
  • Go to the Security tab, and make sure you have full control over the folder.

Clear Temporary Files:

  • Clear the temporary files on your system by running Disk Cleanup.
  • Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup.
  • Select the drive you want to clean and click OK.

Reinstall HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Uninstall HP Print and Scan Doctor from your computer.
  • Download the latest version from the HP Support website and install it again.

Troubleshooting

  1. Restart Devices:
    • Restart both your printer and laptop to clear any temporary issues.
  2. Check for Windows Updates:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 is up to date with the latest patches and updates.
    • Go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Update and check for updates.

I hope this helps.
