HP CLJM477 Scan not found

HP Recommended
HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When I try to scan from the desktop app/icon, I get the message "The HP CLJM477 Scan was not found".  What is the issue and how to I fix it?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

You need to download 2 software packages first.

  1. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 Printer Series PCL 6 v3 Full Solution 
  2. Readiris Pro 

Start with point-1 and then install point -2.

Thank you very much.  I installed both software and now the printer and scanner work. 

Now, if only I can regain the ability to print wirelessly from my android phone.
