Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I’ve setup scan to email properly, it works when scan single-sided but it shows this error message when I set to scan 2-sided.
I tried with HP App too. It works when scan with document feeder, but fail for document feeder 2-sided again.

Welcome to the HP Community --

Paper Size / Type  -- that is, the Media Specifications impact the normal results as do the Scan to Email options.

  • If the issue is due to the original paper size, original sides, or related Scan to Email settings, perhaps (re)check the job defaults in EWS > Scan > Scan to Email   -- Correct if / as necessary.
  • Example >> Scroll down to section Printer - EWS - Scan to Email - Email Servers / Scan to Email

Hi there,

Thank you for your reply. I don’t think it’s reason by Scan to email not properly setting. I still can Scan to email with single sided option, only have error when choosing 2-sided mode.

Also I it’s not related to paper size as well, I tried different size options with single side, they are all doing well. But as long as I choose 2-sided, it shows error again. I tried using App itself has same result with Scan to email too. Please advise how I can troubleshoot this.

Thank you so much

You are welcome.

You know your printer better than I --

Having done your due diligence, it's likely as you say.

I understand the setup, the process, and the procedures --

I don't know your hardware.

Perhaps peruse the documents and videos in Troubleshooting

There is a lot there.

There are several references to updating the Firmware -- worth a quick check.

What else?

I don't find advice for a Power Reset (Unplug for 60 seconds > Plug in and boot).

Power Reset is a common "fix" for inkjet printers used to shake out odd glitches --

It might be a disaster to do the same to a Laser Printer.

@Repairatrooper

Is there a "Power Reset" / "Power Restart" for this model Laser printer?

Anything else?

Thanks for any words of wisdom.

First, let us take 2 steps backwards and confirm a couple of things that I did not see glancing over this thread.

1. Has it ever worked?

2. Are you able to double sided copy? This will help to determine if we have a possible hardware issue. If you can double sided copy we know the hardware is good and then can move to software or firmware issues.

3. Is the firmware of the device current?

6.28.1.35-202511201716 is the current version as per the HP support site, released in early December 2025. Do not trust the automatic update from the control panel as there have been issues in the past with the version posted to the automatic site being a version behind.
4. If all else does not provide answers then your best option is to perform a factory restore from the control panel.

Thanks - that all makes sense.  ✔️

I've had to hand check / update the Firmware on my 9135e (true - different product type).

and

I've also had to (early on when the printer was new-ish) had to restore the factory settings.

Painful but ultimately useful.

Possibly here though I cannot verify, not having access to the hardware --

Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section General >

Select Restore Default Settings > Restore All Factory Defaults
