Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new HP ENVY 6020 printer. Copying and printer are working fine, but I cannot get the scanner to work (see screenprint below).

The printer is connected to a Windows 10 PC via a USB cable and is NOT used as wireless printer/scanner, only via USB.

I followed all the steps of the Virtual Assistent, but without success. What can be the cause of this issue and how can I resolve it ?

We'd suggest trying the HP FULL solution software.

If it's possible, try connecting the printer via wireless with HP Smart:

Thanks for your advice and sorry for the delay.

 

I uninstalled all printer related software and restored printer factory settings. After that, I followed your instructions to connect the printer via USB.

HP Smart is installed (see below) and printing via USB and copying are working fine.

However, scanning still does not work and I get the following error message.
